Product information

1,4-butanediol (BDO) is non-corrosive, colorless, has a high boiling point and is virtually odorless. BDO is completely soluble in water, most alcohols, esters, ketones, glycol ethers and acetates. In the polyurethane industry, BDO is mainly used as a chain extender. 1, 4-butanediol with MDI systems offers a good balance between hardness and flexibility, even at low temperatures.
