SCHWEGO Foam 6303 is a 100% active defoamer and deaerator designed for use in both water-based and solvent-based coating systems. This silicone-free product effectively reduces foam and improves air release, enhancing the film elasticity of coatings. It is particularly effective in systems using binders such as alkyd, polyester, polyurethane, and acrylic.
Typical Applications:
- Solvent-based coatings with binders like alkyd, polyester, and acrylic
- Water-based coatings, especially those with alkyd/acrylate or epoxy bases
User Guidelines:
The recommended addition level of SCHWEGO Foam 6303 is between 0.2% and 1.0% based on the total system. It should be thoroughly incorporated, ideally during the initial mixing or milling stage. Post-addition is possible if evenly distributed.
Storage/RRD:
Store SCHWEGO Foam 6303 above 5°C and stir before use. If stored below 0°C, crystallization may occur but can be reversed by warming and stirring. Proper storage ensures product quality for at least 12 months.
