Solsperse 13400

Solsperse 13400 is a 50% active polymeric dispersant in SHELLSOL D60, designed to enhance pigment dispersion and stability in liquid organic media. This versatile product offers significant benefits for both decorative paints and digital ink applications.

In decorativ paints

• enables high pigment low resin content dispersions to be made, leading to productivity improvements.

Ideal for producing tinters

• Specifically designed for aromatic-free aliphatic solvent systems (Isoparaffinic solvent)
• Improves colour development, brightness flocuculation resistance and gloss of the final coating
• Ideal for high solids decorative systems, where low solvent is important (VOC issues)

In Digital inks the following benefits can be achieved:

• improved particle size reduction
• improvement in partice size
• highly pigmented dispersions
• excellent viscosity stability

Usage Guidelines:
Thoroughly blend Solsperse 13400 with the millbase resin/solvent before adding pigments. Dosage is typically 2mg active dispersant per square meter of pigment surface area (surface area divided by 5). For digital inks, higher dosages of 4-10 mg active dispersant on weight of pigment may be necessary.
